Well, tonight has been a rollercoaster of sorts – we’ve been for the past week or so been trying to help my hubby’s mother with a sick pet, and she called us just around 5pm to give the news that her cat is going to have to be euthanized. We were of course sad about it – the cat is a creature that she raised herself.
Of course, few who don’t have a close personal relationship with pets wouldn’t put a great price on such a thing, but like all things in life, Bølle’s sickness means a little more than sits on the surface.
Star Trek TNG just made my day. We were able to find a cache of recordings from a tv broadcast, and I’m watching episode one of the first season now – and what I just saw gave me reason to pause and take a screen capture.
I’m sure the costume designers meant well, but this made me laugh so hard I started coughing. This guy’s only on-screen for about a half-second, leading some civilians to safety before a battle scene – but gracious, our greatgreatgreatgreatgreatx10 grandchildren have bad fashion sense!
They… Just can’t figure out why they keep seeing these weird, ‘illogical’ things in their samples(!)
I’m watching a BBS series ‘
the planets (episode 7, Life)’, and this one guy is marveling over that he found the chemical footprint of life in a sample of some of the oldest ocean sediment that exists..
