The beginning of February Feb 08

Well now, it’s not a journal if I don’t update it very often, is it? I’ve seen some very good things and some slightly concerning things happen since I last updated.

The week past has had it’s frustrations, I can’t deny that! My sister-in-law and her husband are going to divorce, and one of our friends, Angelfox, has been baptized in the mormon church. Hubby and I have had some rather real stress over these things, because we care much about our friends and family, but having talked with Angelfox on friday last, and having talked a little with my sister-in-law, I think these are decisions they have made decently informed on their parts, and while hubby and I might fuss and worry that our friends might be making the wrong choices, they ultimately have a much better advisor at hand than myself or mike- God!

And in all honesty, I don’t make the best choices I could all the time. <:)

But there have been a few things that have been quite positive- one even rather supernatural story that’s been unfolding.

First of all, Hubby went with me to church yesterday for the first time in ages. He was dead tired because we had a friend over to a late hour on saturday, but Mike really seemed warmed by the singing, good word, and company. I’m really praying that he will continue and hold to it dedicatedly, because I know what a change it makes in myself when I m involved, even in a small way, with my family at Aarup Frikirke.

The other quite unexpected event is the unfolding story of my mom’s current struggle with cigarettes. I typed up the details to a friend on a chat the other day, so I’ll copy the text over here to save time. ;)

She was out smoking a cig about two weeks ago in the middle of a skype chat I was having with her and my sis, and she prayed a bit to god about the cigarettes again. He answered her in the holy spirit, ‘I am the living water, come to me and drink’. She thought he was talking about bible study, and she was a bit frustrated because she’s been doing intensive scripture study for the past year at home.

When Martha came back and aid all excitedly what she’d heard in prayer, I recognized the words ‘living water’, because I’d just had that lesson on that current day’s lesson on the ‘way of purity’ course on the settingcaptivesfree.com site. So I got her to sit with me and sign up on their site, and they have a course for quitting smoking in a scriptural way. it’s called ‘Breath of Life’- and sure enough on day three of her taking the course, she came to the scripture about living water in their study material

anyways, I have my 17 year old friend visit me on tuesdays, and I related to her my mom’s struggles. She talked about how her parents were healed of smoking within one day together when they prayed earnestly. Literally, from one moment caught in cigarettes, and the next day cigarette free without withdrawl. :) So I arranged to have my mom on skype the next tuesday, and she heard isabella’s story, and we all prayed together

the next day my mom was trying to smoke, and she found that when she puffed on a cigarette, she didn’t get the hit of relaxation/relief when smoking. God had cut out the nicotine hit!

And well? There’s the latest news, fresh from the living room sofa! Hubby really wants me to read his fresh blog entry, so I’d better up and do that. ;)

  1. Do you know how to get the ASCII/Sammy Grip V2 to switch modes? (dpad/left/right)

  2. Well, there was some button control via the windows/osX gamepad options. I’d start there, in control panel/system preferances. You can otherwise download apps to alter the behavior of the controller’s input, but I’m not a wiz at it- it’s been a year since I lat had an Ascii grip. Sorry, but good luck with your quest!
