Getting out to see a counselor is a good thing. At least.. that’s my experience with this current one. I haven’t seen a psychologist since teenagerhood- in fact, I haven’t seen many, and I really didn’t get to any real levels of trust and acceptance with the whole ‘psy’ world at that time.
I do have a better time calling Hanne a ‘counselor’, honestly. What they really do is chew over what you tell them, and then give feedback in trying to coach one forewards to tackling life in a better manner.
I almost didn’t make it!
Better said, the train came several minutes early to the station, and I freaked a bit. I thought I’d have to call and …
Someone help me
out of this place of dry bones
this valley where they thought
putting mercury in my teeth was mercy
They poisoned me
my suffering worsened that day
my sleep dissappeared
slowly like the vapor that leaked in
God heard me when I cried out
I said ‘help me’, this is too heavy
‘I cannot sleep, I am scared’
‘I give in, I need you, I am sorry’
‘Forgive me for misusing’
‘The great gift you gave me of my life’
‘To satisfy myself with lust’
‘Was not the same as real love from You’
God has heard my cries through every night
When I thought my hope was gone he said,
‘I still love you, more than …
*big grin* I just accomplished my first 24 hours of fasting. I’m happy! I’ve accomplished something I’ve been warned against since getting type 1 diabetes. I’m insulin-dependant. Addicted even! But I spent a whole day avoiding food (I even cooked chili for today) and lowered my basal rate when excercising, etc. I have used my current supplements as normal, which has really helped me to feel when my blood sugar is swinging one way or another.
Really my reasons for going twenty-four hours with just water, tea and my nutritional supplements and a light dose of perscription medicines was:
- To prove to myself I can
- To see what would happen
- To take the supplements at 1-2 hour intervals to see
…
Well, the stuff on the internet about how D3 (a vitamin) works in the body hasn’t gone away, and the people reporting it’s effects haven’t gone away, and.. well.. It does help my energy levels and sleep patterns a bit. I started looking at it to begin with because of the yearly periods of insomnia, and it seems that a combination of magnesium and D3 helps best. However, I have certainly learned to take it easy on supplements! I’m looking forewards to seeing what my next HBa1C results turn out to be, but for right now, the basics of good diabetes control make up the majority of my day and the new patterns I’m trying to establish.
Hubby brought home …
To understand prophecy, you need to know what how the bible talks about nations, peoples, and symbols. From the bible, to interpret the bible, by prayer, supplication and patience. God has revealed many truths from people who love His word, and many have fallen, like the Branch Dividians, the Latter-Day saints (their founder was a christ-loving woman, but could not tell the spirits apart, because she had severe brain damage), the Mormons, the Swedenborgians (post-millenialisim), etc.
STUDY the word and make it your passion, DEVOTE yourself to an intimate relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit, fast a day or two if you want to supplicate Him for a breakthrough in understanding. SHARE your questions and insights with a bible-study group and on the forums. Be willing to learn and be corrected!

If you think about it, some of us do blogging and journaling to help us keep our thoughts and the information we find important available to ourselves, and others. In the hectic pace of everyday life it’s hard to commit a simple thought to memory, and simple writing helps to keep those thoughts and ideas fresh and alive.
So if you were an all-powerful creator who’s teenaged-minded creations had chosen to rebel and had to leave home, how would you get your information out to them, when they lack a cell phone and a beeper? Well.. you talk to them when you meet them, when and where you can, and you inspire some of your teens and their kids to …
Oh, let’s see… I’ve been very preoccupied with the fact that Diabetes treatment can be helped with a vitamin supplementation, and the thought that it’s linked to my winter SAD insomnias. Over the last week of December I started having strong issues with falling asleep and waking up much too easily, and it led to a jumble of confusion and obsessive behavior, including tons of self-study online about nutrition. I ended up buying a bunch of vitamins and changing eating patterns, and it freaked my hubby out wildly.
So I’ve had trouble sorting out the results of vitamin supplements on 1) blood glucose levels and skin health, and 2) mental clarity, sleep and mood. Right now the name of the …

Let your feet touch the water
Can you feel that cold surface?
That’s the beginning of your dive into living water.
Let your feet touch and sink into the ocean of love,
the waves of the shore, and the sand.
We live on dry land!
Can you believe it, we’re invited to swim?
To become fish in the ocean of love-?
I can’t breathe water, but Oooh God-
He gives me gills so I can go
deeper in the water of love.
Beneath the surface it looks so dark-
but in the depths are the lights
and …
The Friday the 14th ‘Word of the day’ for January in the Danish UBCmedia little book is, “We get slapped to the ground, but we get up again.” 2 corinthians 4:9 . I read it while I was recovering from my oxepaxam-created panic, and there’s a whole long paragraph here about rising up after a fiasco, to simply continue on one’s way, having learnt the lesson.
“Halle Berry Says She’s Worked Her Way Up From Type 1 to Type 2 Diabetes
Linda von Wartburg
Dec 25, 2008
This article was originally published in Diabetes Health in February, 2008.
No less an authority than the New York Times wrote in May 2006 that Halle Berry has type 1 diabetes, listing her as one of several “stars who have type 1 – Gary Hall, the Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer; Adam Morrison, the Gonzaga University basketball star; [and] Halle Berry.”
Ms. Berry is also described as having type 1 by other sources. Health24.com, for example, reported that “it was during the taping of the television sitcom called “Living Dolls” in 1989 that Halle went into a diabetic coma. Shortly …
