Hubby’s skeptical but positive Jan 02

After describing the feeling of  ’much better in the sunlight’ and ‘much worse at night’ that I described to him this evening, hubby is still quite sure that it is a mental positive-thinking effect, and not from the sunlight, because the sun is rising very low in the sky at this time of year, right after winter solstice. He asked me if I get the same effect from turning on/being under/looking at the daylight-spectrum tubes we have up in the kitchen, and I reported a very mild effect, but not near the same as the sun exposure.

He’s made sure to research the current danish reccommendations on vitamin D3 dosage, and has said the highest current reccomendation is 1,000 iu …

Starting to use D3 against my diabetes Jan 01

I’m amazed that my diabetes started as a simple D3 deficiency. I’ve had trouble sleeping properly ever since getting diabetes, and whenever out of the sunlight for days on end, and my health problems are all linked to the deficiency, since D3 protects against cavities, acne, diabetes type 1 and 2, and cancer. If you get a tumor anywhere or have/start to get diabetes, google ‘Vitamin D and diabetes’. The doses need to be between 5,000 iu to 10,000 iu for effective treatment, and D3 is not toxic in high doses, like D2. Researching online says that high doses can improve diabetes type 2 (adult onset) and reverse it entirely, with weight loss. Either way, your problems if you have …

Welcome! Jan 01

This is Illys’ blog. It’s a work in progress, so please don’t be surprised if some links don’t work, it’s a little sporatic as to when I get to working on this site. I use it generally for putting up thoughts I need to write out. If you write a comment I will see it right away. I do enjoy seeing greetings too on my guestbook. :)

Worship the Warrior King! Dec 27

I was listening to the DAB again, and it was one of the last scripture portions, and in the prayer portion Hardin (the reader) spoke about how the christian family looks forewards to seeing the return of Jesus as the Warrior King, and not as the Christmas baby or the grown man ministering on earth that we know so much through the Gospels.

I’d have to say the Warrior King, the image painted of Jesus in Revelations, Daniel, and the other prophetic (forewards-looking) scripture has to be my favorite picture when looking at God and Christ. I’m not a fan of the ‘Justice’ that our world falls to by default and all it’s shortcomings, especially the fact that so many …

Doggy at a new home now Nov 30

Whuff, that was a rough even. Doggy is at a new home now in southern Fyn, with a retired fellow living near a forest near one of the old dukedoms (small mansion of a landowner from the old duke system, now usually farming and foresting areas). He was a really sweet dog, but he was getting bored in our house, especially when he got snowed in!

After hubby said I could, I changed the ad for him from the price we bought him for, to offering him to a good home with an experienced owner. With the earlier price at a couple hundred dollars, it’s clear why we didn’t get any phonecalls until that morning.

Basically hubby had been choking …

New dog, anxious Nov 11

Valde blinkingOh, I knew that getting a new dog was going to be a nervous affair! We bought a beautiful Samoyed from a family two blocks down the road- he’s 10 months old, and about fourty centimeters high currently. He’s a really good-natured dog, with basic training already in sit, lay down, ‘no’, etcetera- and he’s accepting our house rules and corrections easily. His owner said that he likes to pull a lot on the leash, but in fact he is walking politely beside me much of the time with the simple heel training and the tug-no’s that I learned to do with Mia.

We bought him at 6pm yesterday, and it’s about …

It happened again! Mar 16

I was still in a heart-leaping OMGwtfWheeee! state of excitement, and in my dream sort of wiggled to my stomach, so that I wasn’t lying funny-prone while flying. Yes, flying, and I remember thinking that I should be scared of the highway pavement racing under me- but then again, it didn’t matter any more, did it? I was flying! Floating, perhaps? Anyways, hubby and I were beginning to move towards the person in the sky- slowly, as if we were figuring out how to move ourselves that direction, and following. It was kinda in the opposite direction of where the van had been heading, but at that point we weren’t even worried about oncoming traffic.

The beginning of February Feb 08

Well now, it’s not a journal if I don’t update it very often, is it? I’ve seen some very good things and some slightly concerning things happen since I last updated.

The week past has had it’s frustrations, I can’t deny that! My sister-in-law and her husband are going to divorce, and one of our friends, Angelfox, has been baptized in the mormon church. Hubby and I have had some rather real stress over these things, because we care much about our friends and family, but having talked with Angelfox on friday last, and having talked a little with my sister-in-law, I think these are decisions they have made decently informed on their parts, and while hubby and I might …

My prosteses are coming home! Jan 29
