Well now, it’s not a journal if I don’t update it very often, is it? I’ve seen some very good things and some slightly concerning things happen since I last updated.
The week past has had it’s frustrations, I can’t deny that! My sister-in-law and her husband are going to divorce, and one of our friends, Angelfox, has been baptized in the mormon church. Hubby and I have had some rather real stress over these things, because we care much about our friends and family, but having talked with Angelfox on friday last, and having talked a little with my sister-in-law, I think these are decisions they have made decently informed on their parts, and while hubby and I might fuss…
Anyways, a family member has helped us with what we needed to cover the electrical bill, and it turned out to cover precisely what we needed. Pretty much to the letter, because as really bad bills do, they’re always higher than expected, even when you have a ballpark idea of how much you’re going to have to pay!
Dear ones, I must say that I am still quite shaken in my boots over the rather painful news Mike and I deal with today. We have saved for a 4316 kw/h electricity bill, and it is due in February as an 8,000 kw/h bill. We are $1,400 short to pay the upcoming bill…

Isn’t that just the way of things, that when things are at their worst, it’s when you really decide to push into the will of God that true satisfaction and peace starts coming again? I’ve been pretty restless in sleep and mind since the beginning of december. I’d been roleplaying sexually on Shangrila mush for several months, and having the selfsame pangs of loneliness and disconnection as ever before. I had this happen last year- I mean, I’ve had it ever since a wintery second year in high school, where roleplaying just made me feel cold and a little sick, even while it mastered at least a little of the need for a feeling of connection with others.
Let’s be honest,…
It’s one thing to worry about an expensive bit of equipment, but another thing to see a body part go plopping on the ground and have one’s dog listen obediently to the ‘no’ about lurching. It’s not a problem to repair.

… it was pretty weird. The lion was on the other side of the road and trying to take Tiger Wood’s big trophy. Grrrr, it’s mine!, something like that. And I went over and started scritching the big lion, and he sorta laid down on me.
Current Mood: Huh? & Yaaawn…
Sleeplessness easing up, and thoughts on election…
I’m feeling much better this morning. The days, they sort of melt into one and the other, especially when I’m recording my blood sugars for the day and I’m still on 4-5 hours alone of sleep, but it was a lot of fun watching the election excitement yesterday in good ‘ol America. It’s a little embarassing that it’s taken so much to get the population to care about change, but honestly, I feel the need for it too.Â
The stuff that was on the ballot was a little scary this season.Â
- Assisted suicide
- Ban of gay marriages
- health care..

Current Mood: … & Huh? & Sweatdrop & Thankful
A guest-speaker in our church touched my heart while I was wandering…
In the way we sometimes do when we christians, at least the ones that have felt and accepted the holy spirit, don’t feel like being deep into churchthings and when we get distracted. It’s called backsliding among us Jesus-freaks, and happens to everyone who either says they are or pretends to be a Christian.
It took nearly an hour for them to put out the fire. The rest of the day was spent in the mall and helping those two look for a good mortar and pestle. It took me forever to get home in the train! It was slow because of wrk on the tracks.
Well, anyways, sidetracked again! When I got home we unpacked the Starboard and found that it needed a pen and USB cable to be used. Mike (my hubby) tried to order them through the store that supplies his workplace…
