Even masturbation, which everybody is all quiet on, because doctors and the internet and scientists and even a lot of christians will say there’s nothing wrong with. You know, my grandma said it’d give you eye problems, but I betcha she didn’t have a christian perspective on it…

A guest-speaker in our church touched my heart while I was wandering…
In the way we sometimes do when we christians, at least the ones that have felt and accepted the holy spirit, don’t feel like being deep into churchthings and when we get distracted. It’s called backsliding among us Jesus-freaks, and happens to everyone who either says they are or pretends to be a Christian.

Exodus chapter twenty is the chapter where God was speaking to the Israelites about the ten commandments, and laying down the laws that would protect, preserve their nation, and set priorities that both honored Him and the gifts he’d given them.

To fear God… he is absolute authority, power, creator, father, sacrifice — the missing part to a life that feels empty, hopeless, miserable, frustrated, angry, depressed, stressed. He is the reason we don’t live with real love in our lives every day, and why we struggle so hard to feel good about ourselves. Fearing God is knowing more and more of just who and what he is.
I have become the righteousness of God in Christ.

I was really feeling the need to induldge myself in the word this morning – I was feeling down because of hearing about all the relationsahip problems our freind Eric has with his girlfreind and her sons, and my insulin pup was unattached during the night.
